1. VIKRAM URVASHI:
The well known Sanskrit play of Kalidasa, translated into modern Persian and published by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi, 1959. Besides the play, this work consists of a detailed introduction dealing with the art of play-writing in India, with special reference to the development of Sanskrit drama.

2. GULZAR-I HAL or TULU-I MA’RIFAT:
The Persian translation of Prabodhachandrodya, edited by Dr. Tara Chand and Dr. Abidi and published by the Aligarh Mulsim University, 1961. The Persian translation of this well known Sanskrit play was rendered by Munshi Banwari Das Wali, the secretary of Prince Dara Shukoh. It deals with the fight between good and evil and the ultimate victory of the former over the latter. This work also consists of detailed introductions both in English and Persian, dealing with the life and works of the translator.

3. MATHNAVIYA-I FANI KASHMIRI:
Edited by Dr. Abidi and published by the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Arts, Culture & Languages, Srinagar, 1964, it consists of four valuable and rare mathnavis, throwing light on the cultural life of India, specially of Kashmir. Besides, it has detailed introduction both in English and Persian dealing with the life and works of Mulla Muhammad Muhhsin Fani Kashmiri.

4. YOGAVASISHTHA:
Edited by Dr. Tara Chand and Dr. Abidi and published by the Aligarh Muslim University, 1968, it was translated into Persian at the instance of Prince Dara Shukoh. The work has detailed introductions, both in English as well as in Persian. A rare and hitherto unknown treatise of Dara Shukoh, entitled Suwal wa Jawab-I Dara Shukoh wa Fath ‘Ali Qalandar, has also been included in it.

5. SUZ-U GUDAZ:
Edited by Dr. Abidi and published by the Bunyad-I Farhang-i Iran, Tehran, 1970, this Persian mathavi, composed by Nau’I Khushani, describes a ‘sati’, performed in the reign of Emperor Akbar. Besides, the detailed introduction gives the life and works of the poet and deals with other ‘Sati-Nams’ in Indo-Persian literature.

6. MUNTAKHAB-UIL LATAIF:
A rare and hitherto unknown biographical work of urdu and Persian ports, edited by Dr. S.M. Reza Jalali Naini and Dr. Abidi and published in Iran in 1971.

7. DASTAN-I PADMAWAT:
Edited by DR. Abidi and published by the Bunyad-I Farhang-I Iran, Tehran, 1972; Jaisi’s Padmavat is considered to be a masterpiece of Hindi literature. Persian versions of Padmavat have also played a great part in popularizing and immortalizing of the story. Besides editing the first Persian rendering of Padmavat, Dr. Abidi has also given a detailed and comprehensive account of all other Persian versions of the romance in a scholarly introduction of the book.

8. TARIKH-I SALATIN-I SAFAWIYA:
Edited by Dr. Abidi and published by the Bunyad-i Farhang-I Iran, Tehran, 1973, this rare and hitherto unknown history of the Safawid rulers of Iran was written and transcribe at Ahmadnagar in India. Besides, the author has given historical accounts by his personnal observations and knowledge. The editor discovered the Ms. At Hyderabad.

9. PANCHAKHYANA:
Avery rare and hitherto unknown Persian manuscript was jointly edited by the late Dr. Tara Chand and Dr. Abidi and published by Aligarh Muslim University in 1973. The book is the Persian translation of a Jain version of the famous Panchatantra. The unique manuscript, perhaps an autograph coy, was very much mutilated and the editors had to spent ten years to settle its correct reading with great deal of labour and effort.
